The challenge
Launching a barge subjects the structure to loads it will rarely see again — concentrated, transient and unforgiving. The launch had to be proven safe before it happened.
Our approach
We built global and local finite element models and ran the full set of launching load cases, checking stress and stability against class requirements at each stage of the launch.
The result
A launch verified by analysis before steel ever touched water — confidence for the yard, the owner and the class society alike.
